Gast 1023-101q-g608x Vacuum Pump 3/4hp No Reserve
110VAC or 220 VAC, can be wired for either, but is currently wired for 220VAC. These are great pumps and will last for many, many years, unlike many of the cheap china vacuum pumps available i.
I used these for vacuum bagging large fiberglass parts. Pump will run for a short period of time, but then the vanes lock up.
Probably need the vanes replace with a rebuild kit from GAST (these are cheap, look it up online), they are fairly easy to replace, sort of like large motor brushes. No problem with the motor, just the vanes lock up and stop the motor (which I then immediately turn off). I think the pump sat too long without use, and possibly the vanes/ pump housing just need cleaning. There were two filters upstream of pump, so don't worry, the pump does certainly not have fiberglass resin inside.
