Edwards 30 E2M30 Dual Stage 11.4 CFM Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump -Fully Tested. Recent style in excellent cosmetic condition with no oil leaks. Manufactured in 2017 and well maintained by a premiere national laboratory. Pulls vacuum quietly and smoothly. Pulled almost instantly to under 100 microns on our test bench and then onto a stable 23 microns.
We continued running at full vac for an hour with no change in stability and negligeable heat. This Edwards E2M30 / A37415903 Rotary Vane Pump has a peak pumping velocity of 11.4 cfm and a final pressure of 1 x 10-3 Torr. It has been thoroughly examined and is ready for broad range of applications within the research and industrial industries. The Edwards E2M30 electric motor are totally enclosed and are cooled by the motor-cooling fan which directs air along the motor fins. The single-phase motors have a thermal overload device.
When the E2M30 motor is too hot, the thermal overload device switches off the pump. The thermal overload device has an automatic reset; when the motor cools down, the device resets and the motor will restart. The single phase motors have an on/off switch. Edwards E2M30 oil pressure system lubricates the pump shaft bearing surfaces and rotor sealing faces.
The pump has an oil distribution valve which prevents discharge of oil to the pump interior (suckback) after the pump stops. The pumping chambers are air-tight, so this arrangement prevents air suckback unless the gas-ballast valve is open. You can inspect the level and condition of oil in the oil box reservoir through the oil sight-glass. An oil filler-plug is fitted to the top of the oil box.
The pump has an oil drain-plug to allow gravity oil drain. The E2M30 A374-15-903 pump has an inlet-port, outlet nozzle and gas-ballast control. The pump is mounted on an aluminum alloy baseplate on rubber pads.
