Bendix High Vacuum Diffusion Pump. For sale- a Bendix High Vacuum Diffusion Pump. The label has fallen off over time but you can still sorta make out some of what it said. I have included a close up shot of this, if you Enlarge and look closely you can still make out the Bendix logo underneath the word VOLTS. I poked around a little on the internet and it looks like perhaps the Bendix pump business might have eventually become part of CVC Consolidated Vacuum Corp. So I have included CVC in the title for the search engines, but its a stretch to assert it to be a Bendix product in the first place, so its a real leap to CVC. Whatever it is, what you see is what you will get. If in fact it isnt a Bendix/CVC product you have my apologies. So now lets talk about what I do actually know. The pump overall stands about 16 ½ tall, and has a flange diameter of about 9 OD and 5 ½ ID. If the plug on the side is any indication it is wired for 220VAC. I would consider the pump to be in good physical condition relative to the various used diffusion pumps I run across, worst case it is at least in fair condition.
As I recall the rust stains appear to be from something that spilled on it and could probably be cleaned off if you thought that was important. However, IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it.
Just so that we are clear on that, this is an item that has not been thoroughly tested. If you submit an offer you do so knowing that you cannot return it.
