Anatech Hummer 6.2 Sputtering System +Edwards Vacuum Pump Plasma Gold Plate/Etch. Please send the following info. This system is in mostly-Good cosmetic condition with minor blemishes from use. The worst is that the vacuum meter has a big scratch/tear around the 80 millitorr spot, but the meter still works fine.
There are several scuffs/scratches/spots on the painted area and minor, normal deposits inside the chamber. The target has a hand-etched "Au" on the back and no other markings; it looks like gold but the target is pretty lightweight - it can't be very thick gold, and we do not know the purity.
This system is in Good working condition. We were able to get visible plasma generation and observe metal deposition in both manual and automatic modes. In automatic, the plasma power shuts off as the timer counts down to zero. We observed current readings just over 30mA at high pressures, which fell as the chamber pressure pumped down (as expected). The chamber pumps down reasonably quickly and eventually reaches an indicated 20 millitorr.
We did not test the pulse mode or use an external gas supply during our testing. About 2mA plasma discharge current at about 20 millitorr. Sometimes, rarely, the current meter would jump and the plasma would blink out for a moment, about as long as the blink of an eye; we are not sure why.
